Portland Charter Bus Pricing Factors
How Much Does a Portland Charter Bus Rental Cost?
When you’re planning a trip for a large group of people, transportation is a hassle. You have to organize carpools and rideshares, navigate public transportation schedules, and ensure there’s enough storage space for everyone’s personal belongings.
A charter bus alleviates these stresses (and then some) for trip planners of all kinds. Wedding coordinators, corporate event planners, sports coaches, educators, and more benefit from having all of their group transportation handled by a professional team of drivers and customer service specialists.

The Girls’ Getaway Weekend
One of our customers, Jana, called us last summer to book a minibus rental for a girls’ weekend getaway in Portland. Fifteen women confirmed for the trip, and all would be flying into PDX. Their driver picked them up from the airport in a 20-passenger minibus and remained with them throughout the weekend. We chose this vehicle so there would be plenty of room for not only the women, but also for their luggage and personal belongings.
During their Friday-to-Sunday trip in Portland, the women ate brunch at Mothers Bistro, shopped for local goods at Saturday Market, spent an afternoon at Lan Su Chinese Garden, toasted to an incredible weekend at Gracie’s in Hotel DeLuxe, and more.
Total cost for three days: $3,375
Cost per person: $225
The Brewery Crawl
One of the most common (and most fun) events we book in Portland is brewery crawls. Last summer, our client Landon booked a six-hour brewery crawl with 22 friends across five local breweries. Their DIY brewery tour included:
- Deschutes
- Lucky Lab Beer Hall
- Hair of the Dog
- Occidental Brewing Company
- Von Ebert Brewing
Because Landon and his friends were staying in an Airbnb together, everyone could safely ride to the house in their 25-passenger minibus and continue the party into the night.
Total cost for six hours: $810
Cost per person: $36
The Hiking Trip to Mount Hood
A local hiking meetup group hosted a beginner’s hike at Mount Hood last fall, and they called Portland Charter Bus Company to handle their transportation. After the three-hour hike, the group of 41 passengers enjoyed some comfort food at Apple Valley BBQ before returning to Portland.
The hikers rented a full-sized bus to accommodate all of their passengers. Because Mount Hood is just over two hours from their starting location, their total rental lasted about nine hours.
Total cost for nine hours: $1,405
Cost per person: $34
